Wentworth's Longevity Program
Demonstrating a commitment to education and client satisfaction, Wentworth has launched a positive and creative initiative: The Longevity Program.
The Longevity Program is designed to increase the awareness and responsiveness of our associates to community members, stressing the value of collaborative relationships and the importance of networking for the benefit of all. Based upon the principle that the vitality of a community can be nourished through our work together, the objective of the Longevity Program is to increase the health, wellness and social vitality of each Wentworth managed community.
Dr. Robert Misurell, a Family Therapist and Specialist in Gerontology, has been welcomed aboard by Wentworth to provide research and professional guidance for this program. As Director of Program Development for the Wentworth Longevity Program, Dr. Misurell will develop and facilitate a series of workshops and resources for associates and clients.
The Longevity Program is a college level curriculum which will be made available to all associates through Wentworth’s School of Professional Development. Associates will be able to access interactive, thought provoking training modules from their own computer during times which are convenient to them.
Through a series of training workshops, associates learn:
- The process of aging and how it affects people physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually
- Communication skills & sensitivity
- Personal boundary management
- Deeper empathy with active adults
- Pathways to longevity, including:
- wellness programs
- physical fitness & diet
- social programs and education
